David Weinberger brings up this example of a very narrow definition of a friend, like on Blogspot or Orkut, but taken from real life.

Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life or what kinda . Well, not small, but circumscribed. And sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven't been brave?
